The orphanage gets no  Government Funding at present and as Violets £50 a month pension does not even cover the basic bills.  The things we take for granted such as food, clothing, shoes and electricity are a huge struggle.  Nappies, medication, school books, uniforms and bedding are just some of the things that are always needed desperately.  If you, your organisation or business are able to sponsor some of the basic needs then they would be delighted to hear from you.  We have listed some suggestions as to things you may like to sponsor, but of course you are free to sponsor what ever you think would help them.  Please visit our Primrose Sponsors pages by CLICKING HERE and have a look at the fantastic things they have been doing.

Sponsor a bed.

With the completion of phase 2 of the extension to the orphanage we need people now to help provide beds for the children. It has been our goal since the beginning to get all 47 sick children off the floors at night and into beds where they will be comfortable and warm.   In order to accommodate 18 children in the first three additional rooms we need to purchase triple bunk beds, or have a carpenter make them.

Sponsor bedding.

Would you be able to help by sponsoring one of the following items for the new beds.  Pillows, sheets, duvet, duvet covers, towels?  If so you can either send them a donation or use the Gift List we have set up below.

Sponsor a Outing.

If you or your organisation would like to sponsor a day out for the children, or would like to provide entertainment for the children at the orphanage, then please contact us.  The children do not get the opportunity to go out very often.

Sponsor a months shopping.

The food bill for the children is around £200 a month, you could club together with friends, do a fundraising event to raise the money.

Vegetable Plants  

The orphanage run a vegetable garden which helps to feed the 47 orphaned children and the soup kitchen children which number in excess of 150.  They need seeds and plants as they have nothing to plant at the moment.

Nappy’s   

There is a dire shortage of nappy’s at the moment and these are a real big necessity.  

You can buy them online if you want and they can deliver directly to the orphanage.

Clothing   

Thank you to all those that continue to send clothing, but sadly there is yet still a long way to go to ensure that every child has enough clothing.  Besides shirts, trousers, skirts, underwear and the like, shoes are in very short supply.  If you have old clothes for under 16 year olds then please send them direct to the orphanage and they will be put to great use.  .  

Roofing Sheets

With the next phase of building work we need to buy 80 roofing sheets that cost £15 each.  If you would like to sponsor a sheet or two then please send a postal order  or bank transfer   to the Trust Account with a covering note.  Could you also email us and we will add your name or business to the roof sponsors list.  We will like the bricks put your name or business name on the sheets you bought.
