Our thanks go to all those who have helped in supporting the orphanage since we started this project and already we have achieved far more than we ever thought possible.  On behalf of the children, staff and the local community want  to say a huge thank you to all.!  Which in Xhosa is translated as “Enkosi”  

Please find below a few gift ideas which we have come up with, but of course you are free to send what ever you like to your Birthday Buddy.

A Gift of Education

For just £5 a month you can sponsor a child’s school uniform and their education.  This will provide them with a basic school uniform and stationary etc.  Education is at the heart of the Orphanages commitment to these children and every child attends full time school.

 

A Dedicated Day

It costs  about £20 a day to feed and meet the bills of the orphanage. You can even choose the day you would like to sponsor, be it your Birthday Buddy’s birthday, a day of significance to you, or any day you wish to memorialise. The children will be informed on your specially selected day.

 

An Electric Gift

With so many hungry children to feed the electric cooker spends most of it’s day on preparing food for them.  If you would like to provide a months electricity which costs approximately £35 then you would certainly light up the children's lives.

 

Gifts For The Younger Ones

If you are a Birthday Buddy to one of the younger children, then a small gift such as a soft toy, a hand puppet, clothes and other light items are recommended.  However you can always call and find out what your Birthday Buddy is in need of by calling the orphanage and asking them directly.

 

Gifts For Older Children

They all enjoy music, sport and games.  However we would strongly recommend that you call the orphanage to find out more about their individual needs.  Clothes always are a fabulous gift, books, especially text books for school and even items such as maths sets make a great present.
